Moist Favorite Creative Agencies Part 5: Lincoln Design Co.

4 min read

Some agencies become known for one particular style.

Others become known because they refuse to repeat themselves.

Lincoln Design Co. does just that.

Based in the Pacific Northwest, they’re a full-service brand design agency that’s worked with some of the biggest names in the world. But what makes their portfolio so impressive isn’t the client list—it’s the variety. Every project feels like it belongs to the brand it’s built for, yet somehow still carries the unmistakable creativity Lincoln Design Co. is known for.

Lincoln Design Co. has partnered with Nike for years, and you’d think that much work for one brand might start to feel repetitive.

It doesn’t.

One campaign features a clever skateboard-inspired take on the Swoosh. Another has a llama on a hoodie that somehow makes perfect sense. From apparel to activations, every project feels fresh while still feeling unmistakably Nike.

That’s probably why the relationship has lasted so long. They keep finding new ways to surprise people without losing sight of the brand.

If there’s one thing that jumps out when you browse Lincoln’s work, it’s that they refuse to settle into a recognizable formula.

Their projects for Liquid Death are a perfect example.

Whether it’s a dinosaur-covered can, a death-metal-inspired welcome mat, a holiday sweater for Satan worshippers, or a severed hand golf club cover, every piece feels completely unexpected—and completely on brand.

The ideas are outrageous, but they’re never random.

They’re built around the personality of the brand, which makes even the weirdest concepts feel intentional.

That same energy carries into projects for Mountain Dew, where expressive characters, energetic typography, and beautifully screen-printed posters make every touchpoint feel alive.

Then there’s work for Hot Wheels, Monster Energy, Fortnite, and plenty of other recognizable brands.

The common thread isn’t a particular visual style.

It’s the willingness to let every brand have its own voice instead of forcing everything through the same creative filter.

One of my favorite things about Lincoln Design Co. is that they don’t save their best ideas exclusively for clients.

They create products for themselves, too.

Browse their shop and you’ll find patches, fingerboards, flasks, fonts, books, and even a pencil holder shaped like their logo. It’s the kind of work that exists simply because someone thought it would be fun to make.

That creative curiosity shows up in client work, too.

Spend a few minutes exploring Lincoln Design Co.’s portfolio and you’ll probably have the same reaction I did: you kind of have to hate them a little for being this good.

Not because every project looks the same, but because every project somehow manages to feel completely original.

That’s what makes Lincoln Design Co. one of our Moist Favorite Creative Agencies. They remind us that great design isn’t about developing one signature style. It’s about finding the right creative solution for every brand, every time.

And if you end up buying a few patches from their shop while you’re there… I wouldn’t blame you.
