Oktoberfest beer, lederhosen, and a giant tiny mustache
< 1 min readDas Gut Bier! We’re always thrilled to work with the fine folks over at Blackwater Draw Brewing – a brewery of wildly crafted beverages in College Station, Texas. When they asked us to help design their seasonal Oktoberfest beer packaging, we knew we had to walk a fine line between capturing the Oktoberfest-y nuances while inserting that Blackwater flare. Blackwater is all about the unconventional, the sideways approach, the slightly irreverent, little bit wild and weird, and never commonplace. (You should see the St. Nipplaus can design we did!) The typography and illustrations are lighthearted, spirited, and add a fresh and funky-modern spin on classic Oktoberfest beer label design. Prost!

Packaging design, particularly beverage or beer label design, is something we’re very passionate about creating. We find more and more of our work is digital and so we jump at every opportunity we have to create something that exists physically and can be touched and then consumed.
